Hard at work

This sculpture is a one-of-a-kind piece.. There is no glue, molds, nor coatings involved. Each piece is individually placed and welded by the artist, Ken Fenton. Months of painstaking welding, fitting, and polishing have gone into this piece and it is signed by the artist. The industrial nature of the stainless steel nuts, bolts, screws, and various fittings has been tamed and turned to show its natural beauty. The vase is approximately 13" tall and is approximately 10" across at its widest point. The picture cannot possibly capture the stunning effects of this vase. There is to much glare and distortion.
Ken is a now retired in Idaho. He has spent most of his working life in the pipe trades building and repairing refineries, chemical plants, pipe lines, heating and cooling systems (HVAC), and water treatment facilities. He worked on the Alaska pipeline and Valdez terminal way back in 1978.

He has worked with various metals and alloys. He has experience with MIG, orbital welding, soldering, Heliarc, and of course stick welding.
Ken is always happy to discuss your custom project. Please contact him by e-mail: KenIf you would like to speak directly with him, please include your phone number. Thanks!
